Salmon with Peppers in the Oven Recipe.


Salmon is one of the most liked fish and is beneficial omega-3 fatty acids, known as long-chain, occur naturally in oily fish in the form of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). These fatty acids are thought to contribute to a healthy heart and help maintain skin, joints, and hormonal balance.

Is a great concern at this moment of how Salmon are caught, and the destruction of the sea with an increase of plastics and rubbish inside the fish we are eating. Then I ask you to be conscious of your environment and try to reduce or not consume fish at all if is possible. Watch Seaspiracy on Netflix and take a decision.






Salmon with Peppers in the Oven Recipe.

Serve with boiled tyne potatoes with skin, or any other preference.

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 20 minutes

Ready In: 25 minutes

Level of Difficulty: Easy

Servings: 4



Ingredients:



4 Salmon Fillets

1 Medium onion

2- Garlic cloves

1 Medium lemon

2 red, green, or yellow pepper

Salt q.b

Withe pepper q.b

Coriander q.b

Olive oil ( Just a pinch to spread on the oven tray.)


Preparation:


1-Get a large oven baking oven tray or a pyrex, and put a pinch of olive oil. Using kitchen paper spread the olive oil in the Tray or pyrex, this will make that the salmon doesn't stick to the tray.


2- Next lay the Salmon Fillets well spread, making sure that the grey skin turns it to the top.

Season with salt, pepper, coriander, garlic cut in quarters, and lemon. Let it rest for 2 minutes.


3- Turn your oven to electric150C = 300F = Gas Mark 2, and after start cutting the red pepper in strips, and the onion in rough circles. Lay the red pepper and onions slices on the top of the Salmon fillets and take them to the Oven. ( You can cover with some kitchen foil if you want but is not necessary.)

4- Let it cook for 15 minutes, spread the lemon juice on top. And serve with boiled potatoes, a beautiful salad, vegetables or what you like.
